- Watch TV. Hopefully you'll come across a good movie when you most need it (i.e. when you can't sleep)
- Write. You can work on an article, story... or you can mourn about your 'insomniac experience' in your diary.
- Eat. Eat. EAT. Except if you have a lot of little siblings and this is not an option since the only thing left in the fridge is a bowl of raw broccoli. (yuck)
- Lie down in bed and stare at the ceiling.
- Sit down in bed and stare at your feet. Wiggle your toes for extra effect.
- Arrange your books according to date of purchase.
- Arrange your socks according to color.
- Rearrange your books according to length.
- Watch the stars and count. Hopefully you'll eventually grow tired of counting them and finally sleep.
- Sweep the floor. Although I recommend this as a last resource only.
- Wake someone up to do any of the above activities with you. If you can't sleep, better do it with someone else!
What do you do when you can't sleep?
